One the Most important things I learned from the veterans over the last 142 days of Zero Carb is that watching the scale can be counter productive. Over my first 60 days or so I lost 23 lbs. Then the weight loss slowed so I began skipping meals and cutting portions to speed it up.
Not only did I stall my weight loss but I was tired all the time and slept 1-2 more hours a day than usual. So, I took the plunge a increased to 3 big meat meals a day at least 3/4 lb of meat often with additional eggs, cheese, or bacon plus another 1/2 pound snack of all beef hot dogs or sausage at bedtime. It was a little scary as I gained about 5 lbs back over the next 2 weeks before the weight started dropping again, but my waist continued to shrink through it all and I’ve gone from size 38 jeans to loose fitting size 34s in my 142 days. My energy level since bumping up the meat intake has been incredible and I’ve consistently been waking up before my alarm goes off.
Thank you veterans for helping me take this leap of faith. I starved myself for years because that was the only thing that worked so I understand the tendency but with this way of eating it’s actually counterproductive.
