You are not used to eating food, that is the problem! Food is fuel and makes you feel ready to go! Food does not envelop you in euphoria. Food does not replicate the feelings of love. Food doesn’t make your head tingle as your pleasure center is triggered. That is mood alteration, not food. Your central nervous system cannot tell the difference between the ecstasy of opioids, alcohol, cannabis, meth, cocaine or candy bars!

Eating meat exclusively is not hard, quitting drugs is hard!!!! You may be psychologically dependent, you may be physically addicted! That is the reality, and now you know. You have to know that and understand the difficulty, because there is a paradox involved. By knowing that this is hard physically and psychologically it becomes instantly easier. By knowing the problem is not nutritional, but based on physical and mental dependency you can dismiss a major source of fear. Eating meat will not hurt you, eating drugs will. Do not take drugs. Stop the substance abuse! (They are the same thing!)

Breaking through will teach you a lot about living in serenity and peace with yourself. No more harangued internal dialog complaining about every discomfort all in an effort to get the happy feeling again. You will also learn a lot about what it means to be truly happy. Quit looking for that yummy feeling, look for that full feeling.

Of all the barriers drug addicts face, denial of a problem is the biggest one. Your problem is not your weight, your blood sugar, your insulin resistance. Those are symptoms. Your problem is food for entertainment and the fact that sugar, fat and salt in the right proportions triggers your pleasure center and that is a signal for substance abuse. Food doesn’t do that. You could easily spend up to 8 weeks teaching your brain the effects of real food and nourishment. Every time you “slip” you just restarted the cycle, and the hell of cravings. Every Time!

Choosing against lighting up your pleasure center with substances is one of the hardest transformations a person can make. No worries because you have a fool proof, works every time solution; just eat meat and drink water.
