One of the most common questions we get in our Facebook group is “What about your cholesterol?!” So many doctors are behind the times and still don’t understand cholesterol and lipid profiles. High total cholesterol means nothing and is not an indication of anything. It is the triglyceride number of your cholesterol panel that is the most important. High triglycerides is an indication of heart disease and metabolic syndrome.
